Camelback Recovery

Sober Living Homes, also known as sober living facilities and residential treatment centers, are facilities designed to provide personalized, individualized living conditions for people leaving drug rehab programs and other drug-related treatments. Residential treatment centers are designed to provide safe, secure and healthy living conditions for recovering addicts. SLHs act as a transitional zone between these programs and normal society. The programs offer a wide variety of services to the patients including drug detoxification, individual or group counseling, group therapy, and family counseling. An addict can go straight back into the regular routine of life when they decide to stop taking their drugs.

If an addict is looking for a way to overcome his or her addiction and live a better life, a residential treatment center could be the answer. Many drug rehabs will send a resident to an outpatient facility if the addict is unwilling to commit to full-time treatment. An outpatient program allows the addict to return home for a short period of time during the week to visit with family members or friends. This is usually followed by attending a series of group therapy sessions. Afterward, the patient goes back to the treatment center where he or she is given personalized care and attention. In addition, treatment staff and counselors work closely with patients to ensure that each addict receives the best possible treatment for his or her specific needs.

Sobriety is not easy, and living in an SLH is not the easiest option. However, it is necessary for the addict to begin a new and different life in order to recover. The addict will be able to return to his or her normal routine after the program is completed. The addict will feel more in control of his or her own life and will be able to lead a more comfortable and successful life. As a result of being sober, the addict will learn to recognize the warning signs of relapse, will have more success in relationships, and will be able to make changes in his or her overall behavior. The addict is less likely to have problems with substance abuse in the future. Sober Living Homes and Residential Treatment Centers provides a safe and nurturing environment where the addict can start over and begin on the road to recovery.
