Terros Health- Mobile Crisis

The so-called sober living homes, or more commonly known as sober living homes, are residential facilities which provide therapeutic and safe living conditions to individuals who have successfully completed drug rehabilitation treatments. A person may be admitted to an SLH for different reasons; some might be addicted to alcohol or in need of support and guidance, while some would be addicted to narcotics and require detoxification. Many of the addicts and alcoholics are also coming from broken homes and may have mental problems like anxiety and depression. Hence, a lot of effort and commitment is required to achieve complete sobriety and to help the patients to adjust to their new life style.

In the sober living homes, addicts and alcoholics are usually assigned to respective living areas, where they will receive treatment. The living rooms of the residential treatment center are equipped with all the modern facilities like televisions, microwaves, fax, and Internet access. Most of the residential treatment centers do not allow pets inside their premises. The patients are given the opportunity to interact with the staff members and get acquainted with their new environment. The staffs of the residential treatment center also try to create a sense of family atmosphere and encourage socializing among the patients. The patients’ medical needs are also taken care of by the doctors and nurses of the residential treatment centers.

Sober Living homes can be categorized into various categories depending on their structure and services they offer. Some of these categories include self-contained treatment homes, inpatient treatment homes, community treatment homes, group homes, therapeutic boarding homes, extended care facilities, residential rehab facilities, and long term care facilities. Most of these homes provide a full service approach to addiction treatment and rehabilitation. These are generally set up to provide an integrated health care system for the addict. Some of the facilities also provide specialized treatment like outpatient care, inpatient care, daycare services, etc. So, if you are looking forward to finding an appropriate residential treatment center for yourself, make sure to research about the treatment center and its facilities and services in advance and visit the premises and determine whether the facilities and services offered would best suit your requirement or not.
