Terros Health -Mobile Crisis

Sober Living Homes, sometimes called sober housing units and sober living facilities, are residential communities or residences designed to provide safe living and support, structured, clean living conditions for individuals exiting drug rehab programs. SOHs serve as transitional living environment between these programs and traditional society. This transition can be difficult for some. It can cause emotional and mental trauma. It can also create a lack of control over personal relationships. That is why it is important to seek professional assistance. Drug treatment professionals offer professional advice on how to build a strong support system, how to manage stress and help others, and how to reduce the stress brought about by the withdrawal from drugs.

The majority of drug rehab facilities and alcohol rehabilitation clinics have residential facilities for patients to leave their treatment programs. These facilities have some common features and elements, and they all serve different needs. The majority of rehab centers are inpatient and outpatient programs; however, there are some that accept a patient inpatient only for a short period. Inpatient care involves having more intense therapy sessions and usually involves long-term, inpatient treatment. Outpatient care is typically shorter in duration and involves less intensive therapy sessions.

When an individual comes into treatment, many professionals recommend outpatient care because it is less intense than inpatient care. Many people choose to leave treatment at home for several reasons, including fear of relapse, a need for personal freedom and independence, or the desire for short-term recovery. There are some cases where patients may want to stay at the treatment center to complete their recovery while they are still receiving treatment, but for other patients it is not recommended to stay at the treatment center beyond a certain point in the treatment process.
