The Home of Grace for Women is located on the grounds of the Saint Ignatius Catholic Church in Eight Mile Alabama. This small, privately owned retreat center specializes in helping people experience the power of sobriety without having to suffer from withdrawal symptoms. As its name suggests, the program includes the Home of Grace For Women, an eight-week detoxification program. The program includes one on one counseling, group activities, support groups, and the ability to go through the program at your own pace and in your own time. This is a highly effective program designed to help individuals overcome alcohol and drug addictions.

In order to get into the Home of Grace For Women detox program you must first be admitted as a resident in their program. After receiving a diagnosis from a medical practitioner or psychiatrist, your doctor will give you a diagnosis of your alcohol and drug addiction. The reason that your physician has determined that you have a problem is usually because you have not been able to stop using drugs or alcohol for an extended period of time. Once you are in the program, you will receive personalized therapy sessions as well as counseling to help you change your thought patterns and change your behavior. Many of the program’s residents attend Alcoholics Anonymous and Christian based Alcoholics Anonymous to help them stay sober. The program also includes religious based group meetings and activities that help members of the program become more spiritually aware.

When you first enter the Home of Grace for Women, you will be required to make an initial assessment. You will be given a list of activities that the program is going to offer you. You will also be expected to make a list of medications that you are taking and any other medication that may have entered your body. If you find that you are taking any medications that you should not be you must notify your doctor immediately. There are a few requirements that you must meet in order to become a resident in the program. Each resident will be evaluated before you can even be considered for admission. As a resident, you will continue to participate in the program throughout the eight-week detoxification period, and after that you will be able to leave the program.
