In a transitional dwelling, you can still live like you are a normal “crib” on the floor but also have the benefit of having a separate bedroom and sitting area. The problem with this is that you have to leave the house at certain times during the day to go to and from work but when you get home, the house still looks like a house and you do not have to worry about whether or not there will be someone home to see you or if you can get out quickly. This program is for people who are going through or have gone through a transition. What makes it even more unique and helpful is that we get to meet each other at events and get to spend some time together. I feel that this helps me to realize that I am not so different from others, that I can relate to and interact with people in the same situation.
