There is quite a bit of information available on the Internet about so-called “sober living” in Florida. I have even seen articles about it being a new trend or even a fad. However, I can say that for me, and for most people who live here in Kendale Lakes Florida, this isn’t really a trend or even a fad. It’s just a way of life. What most people don’t realize, though, is that living this way allows you to enjoy many more things in your life, rather than the few things most people are used to. What most people know about this type of living is that you generally spend your time either in an RV (trailer) or in a small houseboat called a Halfway House. This is the type of housing that is usually referred to as “half homes.” This is because they actually consist of two homes – the main “house” part and the smaller “half home” part. One thing about this houseboat aspect of this lifestyle that people do not always think about, however, is the possibility of having your own Halfway House permanently set up in your yard. For that, you would need to obtain some sort of residential building permit from the city of Kendale Lakes, Florida. However, if you happen to live in a region where there is no such building regulation, then you really don’t have much of an excuse. As long as you have permission, then you’re golden! I’ve heard of people who have even done their own building permits and then set up residences there themselves.
